Hosting and other web services in Costa Rica

So I have been told by a good friend from Costa Rica that he would not hire a web hosting company from here, because he believes that Costa Rica net firms are not reliable enough for him to entrust his business in them.
I have at one point agreed, but have since learned that there are quite a few web hosting companies down here which are really good and I myself am referring people to them.
If you want to have an ecommerce site, I would recommend going with companies which have been established and a great trackrecord and I cannot think of any Costa Ricans company which I would (yet) allow to take care of my merchant account needs.
I have recently asked people to recommend me a good web hosting service and Dot 5 Hosting has been highly recommended to me.
A good Costa Rica Web Hosting company seems to be ARWeb.com
When you search on the web, where a hosting service is located should not matter that much.
In English, people in CR are searching for: web hosting, hosting, free web hosting, host, domain hosting, web hosting costa rica, email hosting, free hosting, hosting costa rica, and image hosting.

Chances are you have found the website thru one of those terms. In Spanish you would call it hospedaje de sitio de web.
Hospedaje web, hospedaje, hospedaje barato, and hospedaje en costa rica have almost identically low volumes.

So if you are searching in Spanish, you will most likely see a lot of Costa Rican web hosting sites in Spanish. Feel free to leave a comment and a review for the ones you have used.
